Nakshatravan

Nakshatravan (Zodiac Garden)

According to ancient astrological texts, 27 trees sacred to the 27 Nakshatras (lunar mansions) have been planted here. Many spiritual seekers regularly visit Nakshatravan for spiritual practice to experience the positive effects of being in the vicinity of these Nakshatra trees on human health.

The concept of the Rashi Nakshatra Van had been in my mind for many years. For this, after studying many texts written by our sages and numerous books on astrology, I created India's first Rashi Nakshatra Van. To obtain some of the rare plants here, I had to wander through many forests. Finally, in 2003, the consecration and Havan (sacred fire ritual) of each sacred tree was performed as written by the sages, and thereafter they were planted using scientific methods. This Nakshatra Van was inaugurated by the honorable Manohar Joshi. Now our Rashi Nakshatra has grown, and many people are benefiting from its sacred trees. They are indeed experiencing its benefits. Therefore, this is a sincere effort to convey information about these valuable trees of ours to everyone.

Since ancient times, we have considered nature as divine because these elements of nature have a significant contribution in making our lives prosperous, happy, and joyful.

Now, the Rashi Nakshatra Udyan (garden) signifies that according to the almanac and the writings of sages, the Nakshatra in which we are born has a sacred tree. We should worship and revere this sacred tree of our birth Nakshatra, stay in its vicinity, and utilize the Panchang (five parts of the tree - root, bark, leaves, flowers, fruits). In this tree-based spiritual practice, there is an exchange between two living beings, but the nature of the tree is such that, according to the saying "Aho E Shyam Varanjan Sarvpranupajivan" (Oh, this dark-hued one sustains all living beings), this tree-sage, having taken the vow of giving, continuously gives to us, enriches our lives, provides oxygen throughout the day, and gives life to the entire universe. Its selfless life continues. Tukaram Maharaj says, "Vrikshavalli Amha Soyari" (Trees and creepers are our relatives), but the relationship that trees establish goes even beyond that.
